Country western dance and performance is Jan. 17
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL CLUB
The Let The Good Times Roll Club will hold a Western-themed performance and dance on Saturday, Jan. 17, in Clubhouse 2. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 6, followed by two hours of live rock and roll music from the Legends of Rock.
The theme for the evening’s show is expressed in the songs the club’s members have chosen: chart topping hits from western and country singers, like those sung by Buck Owens, Johnny Cash and June Carter, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, Gene Autry, George Strait, Marty Robbins and others. The décor designed by Sharon Knutson and her helpers will be county-western so people are invited to wear their Stetsons, cowboy shirts and boots to fit right in.
All residents and their guests are welcome. People are invited to bring their own snacks and beverages.
The club provides coffee, lemonade, ice, cookies and cups.
The event is free, but donations to the club and to the band support the club’s mission to provide evenings of live entertainment, dancing and socializing in Leisure World.
