Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore

On Sunday, Jan. 4, the congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church will celebrate Epiphany Sunday. This is the final Sunday of the Christmas season.

Rev. Murray Finck will preside over the 10:30 a.m. Holy Communion Service at 13564 St. Andrews Drive.

All are welcome to join. The churches thank everyone who has participated in the Advent and Christmas gatherings.

People can join after the service for fellowship in the Fellowship Hall with coffee, tea, cookies and snacks.

The 2026 Flower Chart is available for signups.

The congregations continue to collect boxed and canned goods to donate to the Lutheran Social Services to feed the hungry in Orange County.

The Bible study is currently on break.

The Gospel lesson for this week is from Matthew 2:1-12.

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus’s birth and coming to the Jewish people.

Epiphany is the celebration of Jesus’s birth announcement to the world as represented by the Magi.

They had been following the light of the Christ before they even arrived at the side of the Savior.

Likewise, believers are continually called to follow the light of Christ in new and challenging ways as they grow in their faith.
