Library to close from Jan. 6-8

ANNUAL INVENTORY

The LW Library will be closed to residents from Tuesday, Jan. 6, to Thursday, Jan. 8, for its annual inventory. The library will reopen Friday, Jan. 9, at 9:30 a.m.

The process of conducting an annual inventory is an important part of maintaining the library’s vast collection of materials. The library has more than 40,000 items, ranging from books, audiobooks, movies, periodicals and more.

During the inventory, missing items are identified and sometimes found, damaged items are marked for replacement, and areas of the collection in need of attention are identified.

The last day to visit the library before the closure is Monday, Jan. 5. Regular operating hours are Monday-Friday from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
