At its Nov. 25 meeting, the GRF Board awarded a contract to Zaino Tennis Courts to repaint and refurbish the Pickleball Courts at Clubhouse 2. The contract includes a 10% contingency for a total cost not to exceed $13,860, Reserve funding—over $26,000 less than what was allocated in the Reserve Study.
Zaino Tennis Courts originally laid the court surface when the Pickleball Courts opened in 2018. At that time, it was estimated that the useful life of the courts was 5-7 years. The court refurbishment is one year overdue. Longtime tennis player and GRF Director Jeff Mulqueen noted that degraded court surfaces can become slippery, making play more difficult.
The Pickleball Courts are located behind Clubhouse 2.
