Celebrate Simbang Gabi Dec. 17

FILIPINO ASSOCIATION OF LEISURE WORLD

The Filipino Association of Leisure World (FALW) will celebrate the annual Simbang Gabi on Wednesday, Dec.

17, at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 2.

This event is a tradition for the coming of Jesus Christ.

Filipinos all over the world celebrate this festivity for nine consecutive days before the birth of Christ on Dec. 25.

Large Filipino communities will do the traditional nine days of preparation, but for smaller communities, one time is acceptable.

Father Juan Caboboy, FALW spiritual adviser and Holy Family Catholic Church’s priest, will be the officiating priest for the mass with members and guests. FALW members are asked to bring a potluck dish to supplement the main course. After the mass, Misa de Gallo food will be served in true Filipino style.
