Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore
On Sunday, Nov. 30, the congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church will celebrate the first Sunday of Advent. Rev. Murray Finck will preside over the 10:30 a.m. holy Communion service at 13564 St. AndrewsDrive. Fellowshipwill be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Congregants will celebrate birthdays for Doris Weinert, Barry Thomsen, Christina Paek, Cathy Boufford, Ernie Dinkel, Gloria Curry, Jessica Keene, Lorna Miller-Kaplan and Mike Vanvales.

Advent gatherings will be held on Dec. 3, 10 and 17 at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays for an Advent program, followed by a meal together at 4 p.m.
The gospel lesson is from Matthew 24:36-44. Jesus speaks of the end times and the suddenness of his return. Even Jesus does not know when that will be, only God the father knows. Therefore, Jesus warns believers to be busy with building God’s kingdom. Jesus admonishes believers to be prepared.
