LW ORCHESTRA HOLIDAY CONCERT

LW Korean Community Church Choir to join LW Orchestra in concert: Sopranos Michelle Chin (l-r), Kyung

Sook Lee and Kil Soon Kim joined the Leisure World Korean Community Church Choir's 40-plus voices in rehearsing Handel's classic "Hallelujah" chorus for the LW Orchestra's Dec. 13 concert at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 2. Dr. Samuel Kim is the director of the choir, which will also join an audience sing-along. Under Linda DeRungs's baton, the orchestra will perform works by Tschaikovsky, Prokofi ev and Bartok and traditional Christmas and Hanukkah favorites. The program includes Leisure World concert pianist Yuri Lotakov in duos with the LA Opera's fi rst violinist, Armen Anassian. The event is free and open to the public.
