Join the festive posada at MOLAA

The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach will host a vibrant community Posada on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., in partnership with the Asociación de Jalisciences Unidos en Acción. The event is free and open to the public and aims to bring together families, friends and neighbors in a celebration of culture, tradition and the holiday spirit. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase from a wide array of food options by various food trucks. One of the highlights of the event will be a 1 p.m. performance by students of the Maestro Maqueos Academy. At 2, people can join a guided tour of “Coded Earth,” an exhibition presented in collaboration with renowned Latin American art collector Ella Fontanals-Cisneros. MOLAA’s officials hope the event will draw a broad audience and continue the museum’s mission of fostering community connection through the arts. Residents can RSVP through American Latino Club President Miryam Fernandez at 562-884-7460 or mzzmimm@gmail.com.
