Dancers & Mixers Club Dance

The Dancers & Mixers Club dance will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Clubhouse 4 from 7-9 p.m. The club dances to ballroom dance music.

The music is performed live by Linda Herman, who gets to play both old favorites and songs that haven’t been heard in a while. Her repertoire is large and she enjoys being challenged.

Dancing provides gentle exercise that helps maintain one’s sense of balance. For new or returning dancers, the activity engages neural circuits that may have grown rusty. The opportunity to socialize and meet new people is another plus.

The Dancers & Mixers is a friendly club that welcomes all dancers, experienced or not. Club members don’t like to see people sitting on the sidelines.

There’s no charge to attend, although the club accepts donations. People are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks, as well as some to share. The club has been hosting parties in Leisure World since 1984. For more information, call 562-431-1257.
