Shuffleboard league sign-ups begin

The Shuffleboard Club’s last games of the fall season will be played on Tuesday evening, Dec. 2. The winter leagues will start the week of Jan. 12. There will be no last Friday of the month lunch in November because of Thanksgiving.

Sign-ups are available at the courts for the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday winter leagues, and also for the Christmas party, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13. Hams will be provided, and members are asked to bring side dishes, salads and desserts. Club member Vivian Ceballos has graciously volunteered to chair this event.

Tuesday, Nov. 4 results:

Team Bob upset Team Sally 7-5. Team Sue and Team Harold tied things up 6-6. All game winners were Susan McKaig (S2), Sue Burkschab (S3), Linda Evenson, Bob Peterson, Sandy Derouin and Roger Bennett.

Thursday, Nov. 6 results:

Team Jack took Team Micki 7-5. Team Lynne beat Team Karen, also 7-5. All game winners were Sue Burkschab, Lynne Haines, John Mount, Jack O’Brien, Bob Peterson, Karen Powell and Bob Zellmer.

Friday, Nov. 7 results: Team Carol bested Team Patti 7-5. Team Shel swept by Team Rod 8-4. All game winners included Lee Broadbent, Steve Edrich, Marlene Levy, Doris Morton, Rod Osgood, and Chandra and Harshad Patel.
