Rusty Aquino is league champion

The top pool players in Leisure World competed in Clubhouse 1 recently to decide the Summer 2025 Leisure World Pool Club straight pool league championship.

And it was the sharp shooting Rusty Aquino, who came out on top.

Aquino breezed to the title match by defeating Bruce Pettys in the quarterfinals and Steve Edrich in the semifinals.

Dave Silva, Aquino’s opponent in the championship match, made a 14-ball run of consecutive shots to defeat Raffi Ramos in the semifinal in the championship match.

It was close, but Aquino’s consistent pressure and shot-making ability outlasted Silva in a score of 50 to 34.
