LW Community Emergency Response Team

The next safety class for the LW Community Emergency Response Team (LW CERT) will be Jan. 23, 2026, from 9-11 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. Sgt. Brian Gray of the Seal Beach Police Department, along with the LW CERT, will introduce the Neighbor-4-Neighbor (N4N) program being adopted by the cities of West Orange County CERT (Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Westminster, Cypress and La Palma) along with many other cities, including Manhattan Beach and Long Beach. The premise of the program is to create bonds before they are needed so people have appropriate training and structure in place.

At October’s holiday safety class, LW CERT President Catherine O’Brien went over practical ways to keep accident free during the holidays. The giveaway for October was a first aid kit won by Ele Snyder.
