One stress of the holiday season is cards—to send or not to send, to remember to whom you sent cards in other years, to write a personal note or a generic letter, to include photos and get them processed, and postage prices are up again. Remember that stress-relieving books are on sale at half-price, filled with ideas that may help people with this process. Sometimes just renaming the task to “loving communicating” helps, as does remembering the joy in receiving cards from treasured family members and longtime friends.

Thanksgiving cards will be on sale starting Monday, Nov. 3, at the special card pricing of three for 25 cents. This should give ample time for people to get sorted for Thanksgiving, which is Nov. 27.

On Nov. 17, all holiday cards will be for sale at the special price of 15 for $1 or three for 25 cents. Sets of boxed cards are also available at marked, low cost prices. Cards have been sorted into various categories, primarily religious and non-religious selections, but all with special messages of hope and good cheer. The Friends of the Library thanks all of its donors for making these low-cost cards available to help with residents’ holiday expenses.
