GAF accepts donation from LW Korean Community Church
Leisure World Korean Community Church (LWKCC) donated $1,000 to the Golden Age Foundation (GAF) for its upcoming gift basket program for shareholders to stay connected during the holiday season.
The GAF’s gift basket program began in 2022 to help residents feel connected to friends and family around the winter holidays. The GAF believes it’s important for everyone to know that they are being thought of and cared for, especially during the holidays. With the help of the GRF Member Services who collaborated with the Council On Aging, Alzheimer’s of OC, Pathways and GAF volunteers, the gift basket program continues to lift shareholders’ spirits.
This donation will help the GAF purchase and make up to 125 baskets before Thanksgiving Day. The total cost of the program is $3,000 year.
The LWKCC recently celebrated its 15th anniversary by going on a trip to the eastern United States and Canada (see page 8 for more information about the church and the trip).
