First Christian Church
First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.
Pastor’s Message
On Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2, Pastor Chris Cherryholmes will be a guest speaker at First Christian Church. He will preach from 1 Corinthians 13:37. Many call this the chapter the “great love” chapter because the apostle Paul writes on about God’s greatest gift.
In 1 Corinthians 13:1-2, Paul exposes the true value of love, writing, “Though I speak with the tongue of men and of angels and have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
Without love, all other gifts of God are of little use and of no benefit. Pastor Cherryholmes’ message will focus on God’s amazing love for all of mankind, the love believers should have for others and the lost.
