First Christian Church

First Christian Church of Leisure World teaches from God’s word, the Holy Bible, most often verse by verse. It is a friendly church that welcomes all visitors to join in worship and explore God’s word together, “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine,” Romans 1:12.

Pastor’s Message

In the letter to the bornagain believers in Rome, the apostle Paul addressed many profound topics. In Romans 8:31, Paul asks two questions, “What then shall we say to these things?” and “If God is for us, who is against us?”

Even with persecution and suffering that Paul and the early church members experienced, God was still with them, and the evidence is in verse 32 where he points out the ultimate gift of all time: “He who did not spare his own son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?” Paul explains that Jesus Christ is the amazing gift that God gave to redeem mankind.

Weekly Services

Sunday services from 9:3010:45 a.m. are traditional services with hymnal music led by Janet Ray with Sherry Parmenter at the piano. This week Al and Sherry Parmenter will bring the special music. Saturday services from 9:3010:45 a.m. include contemporary songs of worship, led by Gregory Black with guitar and vocal accompaniment.

Midweek Studies

Melli Herrera leads the Monday Bible Study from 10:3011:30 a.m. Pastor Bruce Humes leads the Thursday Bible Study from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and the Friday Prayer and Bible Study from 4-5 p.m.

All Leisure World residents are welcome to attend the above services and Bible studies.
