LW Baptist Church

People unfamiliar with church sometimes wonder what Christian worship looks like. The congregation praises and asks God to bless their gathering with his presence. They sing songs of praise and thanks to God. They read together the Bible and listen to the teaching of God's word. Furthermore, Christians worship by giving a freewill offering of money for the support of God’s work locally and around the world.

Pastor Rolland Coburn’s sermon for LW Baptist Church on Sunday. Oct. 19, explores giving to God as an act of worship. The Bible says, “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”

When God’s people confess that God has provided them with the gifts to give, they turn to worship to thank God for the privilege of having a part in his work. And they praise God for the great company of his people near and far who give so willingly from hearts of faith.
