On Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m., LW Community Church continues its study in “A Course in Miracles” facilitated by Abby Stevens. This study is a free weekly discussion of the book of the same name. Written by Dr. Kenneth Wapnick, it can be summed up by, “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” People can find more information on “A Course in Miracles” at www.acim.org.

This week, Community Church will look at a parable that is less of a parable in the current day and more of an example of how to be faithful in following Jesus. People live in a time of injustice in which persistence and perseverance are the way to continue to bring about the “kin-dom” of God.

Those who are looking for a place where love wins are invited to join Community Church on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Can there be a church for people who don’t like church? Over the decades, Pastor Johan Dodge has worked with countless groups who left church because they believed it was filled with closed-minded judgmental people.

But the church is evolving, and the understanding of God is evolving—what is staying constant is the benefit of being in community. People are healthier and are more joyful when they share life with those around them.

People are welcome to join Community Church’s Coffee with the Pastor on Thursdays. The next Coffee with the Pastor will be held today, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. This is a great low-key opportunity to meet Pastor Dodge and some of the members of the church before attending a service. No previous church experience required.

Those looking for a place to belong and feel less lonely, are welcome at Community Church. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.

Community Church meets for worship every Sunday at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place near the St. Andrews Gate.
