Presidents’ Council Meeting Recap
THE PRESIDENTS’ COUNCIL Clubhouse 4 and Zoom Tele-Video Conference The regular monthly meeting of the Presidents’ Council of Leisure World Seal Beach was convened at 1:27 p.m. by President Rich Carson on Wednesday, Oct. 1, in Clubhouse 4 and via Zoom tele-video conference.
The following is a recap:
• Presidents’ Council meeting minutes of Sept. 6 were approved by the Council as printed.
• GRFPresidentLindaHermansubmittedthecommentsreadby Mutual 2 President Teri Nugent.
• Senior Director of Facilities Mark Weaver provided updates on the multifamily energy saving program and the St. Andrews traffic light project.
• Physical Property Manager Kevin Black provided an update on community projects. He shared that the signs on trust streets have been completed, and the roof replacement in building C and the library is ongoing. He added that the trust street parking and slurry project will start mid-October, and the telephone pole installation has been moved to Nov. 3.
• Sr. Director of Mutual Administration Jodi Hopkins provided an update on the Stock Transfer Department. Hopkins also discussed renters, pet and caregiver reports.
• Senior Portfolio Specialist Ripa Barua provided an update on elections and discussed acclamation voting.
• Interim Executive Director Dave Potter informed the council that the Stock Transfer office will be open on Oct. 6. Potter also provided an update on a proposal regarding GRF gates (pedestrian and gate project) and gave a friendly reminder to approve budgets in the October meetings.
