November membership meeting is moved to Dec. 3

A nationwide “No Kings” peaceful protest is planned for Saturday, Oct. 18, by Indivisible. The last “No Kings” day broke records at 2,169 protests and 27 countries participating.

Let’s break that record on Oct. 18. Show up, stay involved. Get ready for an even bigger “No Kings” day. More information will be forthcoming.

California Democratic Party (CADEM) is urging a yes vote on Prop 50.

The election is Nov. 4; this measure is designed to level the playing field after the redistricting in Texas. Canvassing teams have already begun to spread the word with many positive encounters.

Bev Bender is chair of Voter Education and has scheduled the next session Oct. 8 in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., for postcarding. Reservations are not required.

Regular Democratic Club membership meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday each month in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. People are invited to bring lunch and arrive early. Light snacks are served.

Due to the holidays, there are some changes to club membership meetings.

The regularly scheduled meeting for Nov. 26 has been moved to Dec. 3. The actual December membership meet- December membership meeting is cancelled.

The Democratic Club Hospitality Booth has a scheduling change during October. The booth will be open every Tuesday and the third and fourth Thursdays from 10:30 a.m.12:30 p.m. All are welcome to stop and visit with like-minded individuals, register to vote, change address, or change party affiliation. The first Wednesday of each month is Lunch Bunch, a gathering of old and new friends who enjoy a meal together at Hof’s Hut.
