Secure your keys. Never ….
Secure your keys. Never leave your keys or key fob inside the car or running unattended, especially when warming it up.
Take or hide your valuables. A visible purse, phone, or even loose change can attract thieves. Put valuable items in the trunk before you arrive at your destination or take them with you.
Protect against “relay attacks.” For vehicles with keyless entry, thieves can use devices to intercept your key fob’s signal. Store your key fob in a signal-blocking pouch or a metal box to prevent this.
Keep your documents secure. Do not leave your vehicle’s title, registration, or other personal information in your glove compartment. This makes it easier for thieves to sell your stolen car or commit identity fraud.
