Community Church
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m., LW Community Church will offer a study of the book “A Course in Miracles,” facilitated by Abby Stevens. This is a free discussion focused on the teachings of Dr. Kenneth Wapnick. The theme of the course and the book can be summed up as “nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” For more information about “A Course in Miracles,” visit www.acim.org.
People are welcome to join Community Church’s “Coffee with the Pastor” on Thursdays at 10 a.m. on Sept. 18. This is a great a low-key opportunity to meet Pastor Johan Dodge and some of the members of the church before attending a service.
The people at Community Church are focused on the “kindom” building community, and living God’s love. Those who are experiencing hate or bitterness either in their own hearts toward themselves or others could benefit from this community. This is a place where everyone is welcome, provided they are willing to be part of the community. The church does not welcome hate, or bigotry, or sexism, or homophobia. All are welcome who are welcoming to all.
Community Church meets for its worship service every Sunday at 9:50 a.m. at 14000 Church Place, near the St. Andrews Gate.
