Scrabble Club meets Wednesdays

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets every Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members are welcome.

The club met on July 30 and on all four Wednesdays in August. There were 34 scores above 300 and eight bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move).

Diane Seeger led with 12 scores higher than 300. She had one bingo. Her totals ranged from 312 to 432. Jim Schneiderman had six totals above 300, ranging from 305 to 391. He had four bingos.

Larry Edgar and Donna Perkins each topped 300 four times. Edgar’s scores ranged from 321 to 383. Perkins had a range from 305 to 345.

Suthy Edgar bettered 300 three times, with a range from 313 to 414. She had three bingos. Sylvia Makus had two scores above 300—a 328 and a 311.

Sue Ann Gass, Sean Edwards, and Myrna Loscuadro posted totals of 365, 363 and 325 respectively.
