RESIDENT IDEAS WANTED

by Sandy Geffner

GRF Treasurer M any residents are concerned about rising costs but believe there’s little they can do (other than complain). You have ideas and suggestions but wonder if anyone is really listening. Here’s your chance to be part of the solution.

Two new subcommittees have been formed with one goal in mind: strengthening the community’s financial position. One subcommittee is focused on generating new revenue while the other seeks to reduce expenses. To put this in perspective, for every $80,000 of new revenue or decreased expenses, the Allocated Trust cost is approximately $1 per apartment per month (PAPM) less than it otherwise would be.

Where will these ideas come from? FROM YOU! While the GRF Board and staff are constantly seeking ways to improve our finances, your perspective may bring forward opportunities we haven’t considered.

You can potentially participate in one or both of these subcommittees by emailing your concrete suggestions (large or small) to sgeffner@lwsb.com.

In fact, smaller projects/ideas are often easier and quicker to implement, so don’t hold back.

Submissions will be directed to the appropriate subcommittee. If they are interested in pursuing your idea further, you may be invited to participate in its discussion.

Approved suggestions will be brought to the originating committee and, if accepted, forwarded to the GRF Board for action.

So easy to complain—so much better to have 9,000 minds sharing their creative and insightful solutions. The subcommittees are ready to listen—now is the time to speak up!
