Long Beach Shakespeare Company
On Aug. 3, Leisure World resident Debbi Fudge was among the audience at a sold out performance by the Long Beach Shakespeare Company of “Much Ado About Nothing,” presented at the nearby Helen Borgers Theater.
Fudge commented, like the TNT ad that says “TNT knows good drama from the very highest highs to the very lowest lows,” this play took its audience through emotion after emotion, up and down like a roller coaster.
For several years now the current Producing Artistic Director Holly Leveque has added modern twists to all performances. The next performance is “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen, which runs Aug. 29-Sept. 14. When this play premiered it caused a sensation and sparked international controversy. Tickets are available online at www. lbshakespeare.org. There is free parking and handicap seating.
