Alleged thieves claimed to be checking for ‘leaks’ and ‘mold’

SECURITY NOTICE

On Aug. 18, two unknown men knocked on resident’s doors offering to check under their sinks for leaks and mold, according to GRF Security reports.

According to one report, the men were seen working as a pair. One was described as a large, tall Hispanic man with a large stomach and tattoos. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt. The other appeared to be Middle Eastern and had a clean-cut appearance. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and beige pants.

They allegedly stole jewelry from one unit and left a bill for services at another.

Anyone who had or has contact with these individuals should refuse service and contact Security immediately by calling 562594-4754. Be wary of individuals who offer unsolicited services, especially if they want to gain entry to your home. If you’re unsure whether someone is a legitimate GRF employee, ask to see their employee badge. GRF badges include the employee’s first and last name, picture, department and the GRF logo.
