KOREAN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION

The Korean American Association (KAA) will host a night of entertainment celebrating Korean heritage on Saturday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Amphitheater. The night will also feature 10 talented Leisure World clubs that will show the best of the unique culture.

Korean Drum Club will open the program, harmonizing drums and singing. In addition to playing the traditional four instrument Samulnori, the club will perform traditional Korean songs and other popular songs. For the first time this year, a rock version of the Korean national anthem will be performed.

The LW Saxophone Club will play “The Twist of Love,” “Stand by Your Man” and “Beautiful Land of Korea.” Min Joo Rah will perform two clarinet solos, “Schubert’s Serenade” and “Clarinet Polka.”

All residents and guests are invited to come to this special 90-minute performance.
