Scrabble Club plays Wednesdays at 1 p.m.

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets each Wednesday in Clubhouse 3, Room 5, from 1-4 p.m. New members are welcome.

The club met on July 16 and 23. The meeting on July 23 was preceded by a luncheon to observe Larry Edgar’s 650th win as a member.

There were 25 scores above 300 and 13 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move). Diane Seeger led with six totals above 300 and three bingos. Her scores ranged from 332 to 450.

Suthy Edgar topped 300 four times, with a range from 324 to 346. She had six bingos. Larry Edgar bettered 300 six times, ranging from 306 to 370.

Jim Schneiderman posted three scores ranging from 318 to 399. He had one bingo. Kathy Walter recorded scores of 336 and 382, along with two bingos.

Donna Perkins had scores of 308 and 323 and one bingo. Sue Ann Gass and Marilyn Moody each had one game over 300—329 and 302 respectively.
