TRAFFIC SAFETY

A new traffic pattern is in effect at the intersection of Golden Rain Road and St. Andrews Drive. The updated configuration features a dedicated pedestrian crossing phase, during which vehicular traffic is stopped in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross from corner to corner.

Pedestrians should only enter the crosswalk when the “Walk” symbol is illuminated and must use designated crosswalks. Do not cross the intersection diagonally.

Traffic and pedestrian signals at the intersection currently operate on separate, asynchronous cycles. Pedestrians should follow the pedestrian signals to know when it is safe to cross. Drivers should obey all traffic lights and posted signage. Timing at the traffic signal will continue to be adjusted to optimize safety and efficiency.
