On July 25, the Concerned Shareholders Club met in Clubhouse 3 to listen to a presentation by GRF Interim Executive Director Dave Potter.

Club members filled up Room 2 to listen to Potter introduce himself and his experience prior to coming to Leisure World in the fall of 2023 and assuming his current role earlier this year.

During the presentation, Potter discussed his three leadership principles: assume positive intent, be present, and be curious, not judgemental. He also discussed his current goals, including stability, improving trust between GRF and the community, and working with the GRF Board. “Leisure World is unique (in the HOA community) in the way it operates,” Potter said. “It is also unique because of how involved the people in the community are, and that’s what makes it special.”

The Concerned Shareholders Club holds monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The next meeting will be Aug. 22.

The “All Hands” meetings continue on the first Monday of each month in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 6 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 4. Members of Concerned Shareholders Club, The Where We Live Club, and LW Uncensored group are welcome to join. During the meeting, the clubs will discuss current events, how to form and manage Shareholder Committees, and looking for shareholders who can help mold Leisure World into the place people want to live, finding support, and likeminded leaders.
