LW Scrabble Club plays Wednesdays in CH 3

The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets each Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members are welcome. The club met on June 25 and the first two weeks in July. The members combined for 43 scores above 300 (of which six were higher than 400) and 23 bingos.

Suthy Edgar led with nine scores above 300, of which four exceeded 400. She had 12 bingos. The range of her scores was from 304 to 472.

Larry Edgar topped 300 eight times, with two bingos. His scores ranged from 319 to 402 Diane Seeger and Jim Schneiderman each posted six scores higher than 300. Seeger had three bingos and a range of scores from 311 to 472. Schneiderman posted four bingos, with a range of scores from 307 to 370 New members Mike Arzola and Sean Edwards each bettered 300 three times, as did Donna Perkins and Myrna Loscuadro. Their respective best totals were 360, 331, 385, and 327.

Sylvia Makus and Marilyn Moody posted scores of 309 and 318 respectively.
