The Japanese American Club of Leisure World will meet on June 21 at 11:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. A bento box lunch will be available for $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers During the meeting, there will be a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony, a cherished tradition that embodies Japanese culture, aesthetics, and hospitality. Residents are welcome to join the Japanese American Club for this enriching experience as it explores the art of tea making, mindfulness and the beauty of Japanese customs.

Sokei Inose will guide attendees through the steps of a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in a table style demonstration with her students Rachel Taira and Rika Hirashi, explaining its history, symbolism, and the precise methods used to prepare the perfect cup of matcha.
