Learn about hearing aids June 12

HEARING LOSS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA

The Hearing Loss Association of America Long Beach/Lakewood Chapter will meet on Thursday, June 12, from 4-5 p.m. at the Weingart Center at 5220 Oliva Ave., Lakewood. The group will watch a video by audiologist Juliette Sterkins, named “What You Don’t Know About Hearing Aids—Technology Education and Design (TED talk).” For those with hearing loss, modern technology continues to bring new, often unknown features that can help bring hearing to normal despite the limitations of hearing aids.

The group meets on the second Thursday of every month. Meetings are captioned, free and open to the public. They offer a friendly place to ask questions, find solutions and learn about technology that makes living with hearing loss easier.
