Club project produces collaboration with LW writers

The Photo Arts Club will meet on Thursday, June 12, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. Bring an iPhone/Android and/or camera.
The assignment is to photograph “flowers.” Email the best three photos to Ben Benjamins at benbenjamins@hotmail.com by June 9.
In another project, members of the Photo Arts Club provided numerous photos to the Creative Writers Club for a collaboration between both clubs.
The Creative Writers Club chose a certain number of photos that will serve them as inspiration to write a story or poem about the photo or photos of their members’ choice.
Copies of the stories or poems will be provided to the Photo Arts Club members at the July meeting.
On May 15, several photographers met at the “Nature Walk” in El Dorado Park for a field trip along the various paths available.
A Facebook page has been created for all LW residents interested in photography.
On Facebook, look for “Photographic Arts Club of Leisure World.”
This is a private page to avoid outside ads or comments. To join, hit the “join” button, and LW residents will be approved. People are welcome to post their favorite photos.
In the “comments” section, members can ask questions about cameras, iPhones or photography in general. A quick response will be provided.
For the meeting, people can bring photos to be displayed and to be commented on at the meeting.
Individuals with technical or other questions will be paired with someone who can help them for individual discussion after the meeting.
