Won Song aces No. 2 at May 14 tournament

Fifty-three golfers teed off on May 14 for the LW Men’s Golf Tournament at the Turtle Lake Golf Course.

Only 13 of the 53 men scored net at or under par, and there were 58 birdies and only eight circle holes-all low figures based on past rounds.

Closest to the pin on No. 2 for the men was Dale Williamson and on No. 11 Won Song was closest with a hole-in one. Low net score for the round was Rod Osgood at 10 under par, followed by Richard Yokomi and Rolando Ramirez at 6 and 5 under respectively. Low gross for the tournament was John Kolthoff and Alan Sewell at 1 under.

A flight winners (handicaps

of 0-5): Kolthoff and Sewell, 4 under, first place; Pat Pater noster, 2 under, second; Bob Johnston, 1 under, third; and Jae Choi, even par, fourth.

B flight winners (handicaps of 6-9): Yokomi, 6 under, first place; Ramirez, 5 under, second; Andrew Kim, Trai Nguyen and Mark Rice, 2 under, third; Joon Sup Yoon and Dennis McMonigle, 1 under, fourth; Hyon Shin, fifth.

C flight winners (handi caps of 9-18): Osgood, 10 under, first place; Daniel Mahoney, 5 under, second; James Farr and Steve Walker, 4 under, third; Noe Alcaraz, 3 under, fourth; Darry Holtzen, 2 under, fifth; Scott Tuchfarber, Steve Kang and Jack Haskins, 1 under, sixth; Paul Shellenberger and Byron Schweitzer, even par, seventh.
