Photo Arts Club

The Photo Arts Club will meet June 12, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. People should bring their iPhone/ Android and/or camera, as well as photos of their choice to be displayed and commented on.

The assignment for next month is flowers. Members should send their best three photos to benbenjamins@hotmail. com by June 9.

The Creative Writers Club is doing a project together with the Photo Arts Club. On April 10, President Regine Schumacher asked members to submit photos which the writers could use as inspiration for an essay or poem. Many photos were submitted and will be returned to their owners at the June meeting.

At the June 12 meeting, the club will discuss and vote on future assignment themes. Members are encouraged to come with ideas.

At the May 8 meeting, Ben Benjamins brought a touching photo of his three-day old son with his wife, and Les Coombes submitted two photos—one of the interior of a bright red flower with a bee flying in to collect pollen, and the second of vegetation layers in front of a row of trees in the Owens Valley.

Individuals with technical or other questions will be paired with someone who can help them for individual discussion. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call Regine Schumacher at 562-430-7978.
