Community Karaoke Club
On May 7, Community Karaoke Club singers remembered Mother’s Day when Pete Tupas sang the nostalgic “Mama.” Another tear-jerker was “Remember When” nicely sung by Donald Horning. Sharon Knutson surprised the audience singing a capella. The group enjoyed several duets sung by Joan Rosenberg and David Noble as well as Anna Lam and Walter Bier.
Gerry Tagaloa wowed with “What a Wonderful World.” Wayne Urban shook everyone up with the beat of “City of New Orleans.” Bob Barnum got folks dancing with the rhythm of “The Breakup Song.” It was a happy night, and all are welcome to join the group each Wednesday beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 1. Some appreciate the karaoke practices held in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. each Monday. It’s an opportunity to find new songs or fine-tune favorites. Everyone is welcome.
