Shuffl eboard Club continues three league play

The Shuffleboard Club is fully into the spring season, with courts being utilized three days of the week as well as Mondays, which is now the only day utilized for practice and open play. Monday open play starts at 9 a.m.

The next general membership meeting will be Thursday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 1, and elections will be held per the club’s bylaws.

The club will travel to Laguna Woods May 12 for a competition, and the annual LaCascia memorial tournament will take place on June 14. The tournament is limited to 24 participants.

April 22 Tuesday evening league results: Team Sally and Team Sue tied things up 6-6. Team Sally had two all-games winners: Kathryn Ewell and Patty Peterson. John Mount was Team Sue’s lone all-game winner. Team Karen inched by Team Harold 7-5. Team Karen had three all-game winners: Judy Hulin, Sal LaScala and Karen Mendon. Sandy Derouin took the all-game honors for Team Harold.

The Thursday and Friday league scores are not reported because games were not played during the Easter holidays.
