Ladies and Gents contest coming

LW WOMEN'S GOLF CLUB

Golfers should plan now for the Ladies and Gents first annual putting contest, sponsored by Gasper Monteer Realty, on July 29. There will be five different greens and lengths. Players will meet at 7 a.m. at the course, with an 8 a.m. start time. There will be prize money of $100 as well as other prizes. Refreshments will be served before the contest. Players can sign up to participate on May 20 and May 21 at 7:30 a.m. at the golf starter shack. Cost is $10 per golfer with a 60 player maximum. Players must be a member of the men’s or women’s golf clubs.

April 22 brought 39 women to the golf course for the weekly tournament. Play for the day was low gross, low net, and chip-ins.

D flight winners: Sally Park, 33, low gross; Lynn Baidack and Dale Quinn, 23, low net.
