Faith Christian Assembly
In Isaiah 43:7, God says that humans were created for his glory. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Too often people compartmentalize their lives. Believers seem to understand the importance of living for the glory of God better when they are sitting in church on Sunday and have the greatest of intentions while listening to the sermon. But unfortunately these intentions can quickly fade from view by the time they reach the church parking lot. Maybe believers think it’s too difficult to figure out what living for the glory of God actually looks like, or that they think that the only time people are living for the glory of God is when they are doing the “big things” for him.
God has made it clear from the above Scripture, that he wants his believers to glorify him in everything—including things as seemingly insignificant as eating, drinking, etc. Christians can glorify him through those seemingly mundane things of life.
Faith Christian Assembly encourages Christians to ask themselves,“Is Christ being glorified in you?” and “Do you desire His glory more than anything else?”
Psalm 34:2-5 says, “I will glory in the Lord; let the affl icted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
