SUNSHINE CLUB

The Sunshine Club will sponsor an hour-long workshop featuring Leisure World’s longtime technology expert, Jeff Plum of Jeff Plum Computer Services on Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2.

This user-friendly workshop is for anyone who would love the joy of knowledge and control that comes from understanding simple and easy ways to navigate through the world of often confusing screens and functions of their home computers, whether the operating system is Apple or Microsoft. Leave with helpful handouts and the rewarding insights from the war stories and phish tales that have befallen others.

During the meeting, Plum will answer common questions about computers including:

•What happens when Windows 10 ends?

•Microsoft no longer providing security updates.

•Email accounts, Facebook, banking, family photos on the computer or in the cloud.

•Buying computers Plum will also discuss scams, including new scams, multi-step scams, romance scams, tax season scams, AI scams, and more. He will discuss how to recognize and avoid scams.

All residents are welcome. The Sunshine Club requires no membership fees, but donations are welcome. People are asked to arrive promptly, and use the back door if they arrive late.
