Assembly of God Assembly of God

Worship is often misconstrued to mean the part of the church service where people sing slow songs. Jesus defines true worship in John 4:16-24, as he speaks with the Samaritan woman at the well. True worship encompasses every aspect of a committed Christian’s life. Pastor Chuck Franco will bring the sermon titled “Worship God Desires” in the Sunday, April 27, morning service. In the evening, join fellow residents for the Hymn Sing at 6.

On Wednesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. the Bible study will cover session five of the “Why Do We Need the Bible?” series by Lisa Harper, titled “How to Read the Bible.” Some people find the Bible hard to understand. With the variety of translations available today, reading and understanding scripture is accessible to everyone. This session offers pointers in reading for comprehension and meaning.

Leisure World Assembly of God meets on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study meets at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday evening of the month, at 6 p.m., in the Clubhouse 3 Lobby.
