Wa-Rite
Wa-Rite is a female-only club that meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. LW ID cards must be shown. Women who want support on their weight-loss journey and to meet like-minded people are welcome to stop by no later than 8:15 to weigh-in and complete the registration paperwork.
At Feb. 28 meeting, members learned that the club lost a total of 28 pounds for the week. Two members lost 4 pounds each, making it a tie for the biggest losers of the month. They are Marshia Larson and Mary Pompi. Larson said she eats small meals, skips lunch, and keeps an eye on her snacks. And Pompi, who likes consistency in her life, said she doesn’t eat after 3 p.m. and drinks water from 4-5 p.m. daily. Plus, she gets up at 6 a.m. every day and goes for a 2.5-mile walk.
It was sharing day, so there was no presentation. The weekly food for thought was: “Your perspective at Wa-Rite is unique and important so that we can all learn from one another.”
