Assembly of God
Matthew 28:19, also known as the Great Commission, is Jesus’ mandate to his followers then and present day, to make disciples, who became the first missionaries.
This Sunday, March 16, the DelaCruz family, Roli, Amy and Katie, will minister in the service. They will join Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines, to prepare students from many countries to be pastors, teachers, missionaries and leaders in churches and Bible schools in their own countries.
Roli has most recently taught Greek and New Testament at Vanguard and Valley Forge Universities. Amy has served as administrator and associate pastor in various settings as well, making them a uniquely qualified ministry couple. This will be a joyful service as Assembly of God celebrates their calling and prayerfully dedicate them for service.
The Wednesday Bible study is on session five in the “Why Does Jesus Matter?“ series, by J.S. Freear. This week’’s message is titled“What Happened on Easter?” Though the question seems simple to answer, Freear always surprises the learner with the deeper implications of biblical events and the impact they have on contemporary believers’ lives. The brief video is followed by guided discussion and compelling student interaction.
