American Latino Club

The American Latino Club will meet Thursday, March 13, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The lunch menu will be provided by Señor Big Ed Puerto Rican & Mexican Restaurant and will consist of the following Puerto Rican dishes to select from: chicken fricassee-stewed chicken, pulled pork or carne guisada-beef stew. All three dishes include white rice, stewed pink beans and maduros (sweet fried bananas) with flan for dessert. Coffee, tea, water and other beverages will be available. The cost for the lunch is $17 for members and $19 for guests. Payment should reach Secretary Rachel Fullum no later than Monday, March 10, by 3 p.m. either by U.S. mail or by dropping the payment off in her mailbox at 1371 Oakmont Road, 150 L. Call 310-869-7730 to reserve. Checks should be made payable to the American Latino Club.

Members will be contacted by email, phone or text. Members and guests may bring their own lunch and pay $5 which includes beverages. Members are asked to notify Fullum accordingly. In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, members and guests are encouraged to wear green to the meeting.

There will be a bilingual presentation by guest speaker Norma Castellanos from Alzheimer’s Orange County, titled “Keep Your Brain Healthy.”
