Search for meaning is theme for meeting today
SENIORS FOR PEACE
Seniors For Peace will meet at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 6, in Clubhouse 3, Room 1.
Writer, filmmaker, and philanthropist Pam Roy will present a program inspired by the philosophy of Viktor Frankl, author of the international best-seller “Man’s Search For Meaning.”
Frankl, an Austrian neurologist, psychologist, philosopher and Holocaust survivor, founded a school of thought that considers a search for life’s meaning as the central human motivational force.
Roy is involved in film and book projects related to bringing Frankl’s ideas to a new generation.
The format will be a little different this month. The program will be presented as a conversation between Roy and club president Jeff Mulqueen, as they explore ways for people to keep room in their lives for joy, fun and laughter and such questions as whether the pursuit of a more meaningful life can bring the rewards of happiness. The conversation will then be opened up to the audience for participation.
All LW residents and their guests are welcome.
Call Pat Kruger at 562-3574040 for more information.
