Republican Club

The America First Republican Club is supporting Tony Strickland for CA Senate. Every registered voter in Leisure World should have received a vote-by-mail ballot by now.

Those who have not received their ballot or who need to register to vote can stop by for help at the Republican Club booth, located outside Clubhouse 6 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-11 a.m. through Feb. 12. After that, the Republican booth will have extended hours from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Feb. 17, 19, 21, 24 and election day, Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Members of the club will have yard signs and information about candidate Tony Strickland for California Senate. They will also be available to answer any questions and help fill out the ballot. The club can assist in obtaining a replacement ballot for those who did not receive a ballot, have misplaced or lost it.

Ballots can be returned using the U.S. mail or the yellow ballot drop box by the Amphitheater, or by taking it to the club booth. An officer of the Republican Club will hand carry ballots to the Orange County Registrar of Voters office in Santa Ana every day the booth is open.

The America First Republican Club meets monthly on the third Wednesday. This month’s meeting will be on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, and will have a potluck social from 5-5:30 p.m. with the club’s regular business meeting from 5:30 p.m. to about 6:30 or 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be candidate Tony Strickland’s spokesperson, who will give an update on the campaign.
