Karaoke nights held weekly
COMMUNITY KARAOKE
The theme for the Jan. 29 karaoke night was country-western music. Folks were dressed for the occasion in cowboy hats and enjoyed the mixture of ballads and dance tunes. Ray Geierman entertained the audience with “Ghostriders in the Sky.”
Frank Farmer gave a lusty “On the Road Again.” Karen Morris swayed with “Cowboy Rides Away.” Shannon Harrison sang a Glen Campbell hit, “Try a Little Kindness.” “Desperado” was sung by Bob Barnum and again by Susan Kelleghan, each time sounding different.
The duet “Happy Trails to You” by Dorothy Ferrington and Walt Bier had the audience singing along. Dottie Herdman and Susie Kendig added new voices to the club’s lineup of performers.
The club thanks its helpers who served hot dogs, fruit and ice cream to a room full of happy folks. Join the lively evenings each Wednesday beginning at 5:30 in Clubhouse 1.
—Margie Thompson People who don't sing are welcome to join the club's lively audience, who cheer on singers from the sidelines.
