LW Gong Club’s comedic show is Jan. 31 in CH 2

LIVE PERFORMANCE

A group of self-proclaimed LW home grown comedians are set to hit the stage and fill the room with laughter Friday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in Clubhouse 2.

A lineup of contestants and entertainers will perform for both residents and their guests. Familiar acts from the late 1970s will be performed and get the audience on their feet dancing, singing, laughing and playing Kazoos.

The first show will be a fundraiser. Kazoos will be available for donations of $5 or more. Individually wrapped snacks will also be available during intermission.

Club founder and President Lu DeSantis will host the self proclaimed “Best Bet for a Laugh.” Other performers include club members Billy Holden, Cristian Sanchez, Sam O’Ting, Galit Slater and Frank DePalma. Supporting members include Bonnie Cooper, Shannon Harrison, Jim Long, Jackie Hildebrant, Helen Kerz and more.

The club thanks its start-up and advisory team, the late Terry Otte, Armando and Maria Encalada, Ellen Brannigan, Ivy Kung and guest visitor Duncan Harrison.

Seats are expected to fill quickly. Doors will open at 6:30; show begins at 7. Guests are encouraged to wear clothing styles from the late ‘70s. Expect opportunities for audience members to be called up to the stage.
