American Legion Auxiliary fashion show is March 8

American Legion Auxiliary members are busy preparing for the annual fashion show on March 8 under the direction of chairman Denese Anderson. Fashions of interest will be modeled by the Auxiliary members. Lunch will be served by Love at First Bite. There are lots of prizes for raffle. President Carolyn VanAalst opened the general meeting in January with the introduction of guest speakers Mr. and Mrs. Kabelitz, residents of Leisure World, and Cindy Mayfield, chairman of activities for the Auxiliary at the VA Hospital.

Mr. Kabelitz spoke of his treatment at the VA, which brought him from pain and near death to a miraculous healing. Mrs. Kabelitz spoke of the trials that a wife endures caring for an ill husband. Both are very appreciative and grateful to the VA for their outstanding care.

Mayfield spoke of the food panty, which is always in need of unperishable items for veterans who come in needing food for themselves and families.

Non-members are always welcome to attend the general meetings, which are held on the third Monday of the month at 1:30 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1.
